"Bob Berry's life long love of the outdoors has served him well. Bob is an avid hunter and fisherman. At the age of twelve, he spent a $10 bill he received for his birthday on a mail order taxidermy course. Taxidermy became the foundation for his animal sculpture work.
Through the 1970's, Bob transitioned into woodcarving, primarily duck decoys. It was in the early 1980's that Bob began to focus on carving fish and quickly became the leading fish carver in the country. He won the first ever World Fish Carving Championships in 1985.
Bob's book, "Fish Carving, An Introduction" is the best selling book on the subject. He is a contributing editor of Breakthrough Magazine and has published several new books on fish carving techniques.
